The Day of Installation
When the day arrives for your new windows it can be very exciting. Questions about what to expect are very common and always welcomed.  Some of the more common questions (and answers) we are asked:

What do I need to do to prepare my home for new windows?
What will happen when the installers arrive?
What if I have questions or a problem occurs once the installation is complete and the installers have left my house?

Q:  What do I need to do to prepare my home for new windows?

A:  We ask that you remove all window coverings including curtain rods, brackets and blinds. You should also remove any items on walls adjacent to the windows to be replaced to avoid them falling during installation. Clear all furnishings away from the windows to allow a two-foot space for the installers to work.

If you have an alarm system, you should notify your alarm company of your installation date. You will need to make arrangements with them to reconnect any sensors. Installers are not trained in alarm systems and will not make any reconnections.

Q:  What will happen when the installers arrive?

A:  Once the installers arrive, they will set up a work area either in the yard or driveway. They will review the work to be done, and answer any questions you may have.  Removal of your old windows and installation of your new windows will begin.  After all of the windows are installed for the day, the areas inside and outside the home are cleaned up removing all construction debris. Your old windows will be loaded up and ready to be hauled for recycling and disposal. At this point, your installer will ask you to review and inspect their work and will provide you with warranty papers.  He will also have you sign a customer satisfaction form prior to leaving your home.

Q:  What if I have questions or a problem occurs once the installation is complete and the installers have left my house?

A:  Whether it’s been 5 minutes, 5 days or 5 years we are always just a phone call away.  We will also be calling you to check in and make sure your windows are performing as they should, and answer any questions that may have come up since the installation was completed.
